Helping All Bodies Find Ease and Comfort

Anike is a compassionate physiotherapist based in Montreal, dedicated to providing one-on-one care for people of all backgrounds and abilities. With a focus on personalized, supportive treatment, she helps clients manage pain, improve mobility, and enhance their quality of life. Anike is committed to being a trusted part of each client’s support system, empowering them to reach their health and wellness goals through tailored, attentive care.

Anike focuses on working with diverse populations, including individuals with hypermobility and chronic pain. She applies her expertise broadly by addressing lifestyle and work conditions to alleviate symptoms, improve quality of life, and help individuals return to their regular routines or explore new activities. Through her practice, Anike has developed a strong interest in helping those with hypermobility and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), a passion that deepened through her husband’s experience with hypermobility, which opened her eyes to the unique challenges faced by those with this condition.

Anike’s journey into physiotherapy was inspired by her own experiences with pain, both in sports and beyond. As a former competitive athlete, she went through injuries and worked closely with physiotherapists, discovering a passion for the field. These experiences intensified during her training for snowboard cross competitions, where she aimed to represent Lithuania at the Olympics. Transitioning from competitive sports, she pursued a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree from the Lithuanian Sports University in 2019 to help individuals return to their beloved activities.

Anike has achieved success by emphasizing a comprehensive approach that targets the underlying causes of pain and dysfunction. She advocates for a combination of manual therapy, exercise, education, lifestyle modifications, and workplace adjustments to empower patients in reaching their optimal functional capacity.

Anike has furthered her expertise by taking courses in pelvic physiotherapy rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, running-specific training, and treating jaw pain (temporomandibular joint disorders). She is committed to staying updated with ongoing research and advancements related to all types of injuries to provide the best care possible, especially through her involvement with the Ehlers-Danlos Society to support the EDS and hypermobile populations.

When not in the clinic, Anike dedicates time to strength training to enhance her performance in various year-round sports leagues, such as hockey, softball, beach volleyball, and dodgeball. Additionally, she finds joy in traveling, whether to discover new destinations or visit loved ones.
